Project Description

U.W. Marx teamed with Albert Wisner Public Library Board of Trustees, the Warwick community, Butler Rowland Mays Architects and more than 15 Hudson Valley contractors to construct the award-winning new Albert Wisner Public Library.

The new 20,000 square-foot facility features an enlarged children’s room, a flexible multi-purpose room to be used for programs and community use, quiet study and reading areas, and the Warwick Room for archival materials.

The new facility allows full access for people with handicaps and disabilities, includes sustainable, “green” design features, including a geothermal heating and cooling system, and delivers  high-speed Internet and free Wi-Fi for residents, significantly reducing the ‘digital divide’ in Warwick.

The new library was recently selected by Library Journal as ‘Best Small Library in America 2016’.
