Project Description

New K-12 Campus

This $72 million Design-Build project constructed a modern 288,000 SF K-12 facility on a 43-acre parcel of land for the City School District of Rensselaer. The aggressively-scheduled project, which included construction of a BOCES wing, was completed in only 18 months from ground-breaking to owner move-in.

The new school features all elements of a modern educational campus for more than 1,300 students, including multiple classrooms, science labs, gymnasiums, auditorium and administrative spaces.

The NYSERDA NY Energy SmartSM New Construction Program (NCP) awarded the school district the maximum project incentive of $169,950 based on a thorough system evaluation by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
