New Science Center at HVCC

In 2008, Hudson Valley Community College selected U.W. Marx to provide Program & Construction Management services for implementation of the Troy, NY school's $190 million 2009-2013 Master Facilities Plan. The plan includes the New Science Center at HVCC, a 100,000 s/f state-of-the-art science facility registered with the US Green Building Council for minimum LEED(R) Silver certification. Construction began in the summer of 2011, with a scheduled completion date of August 2013. |

QUAD Dormitories expansion in progress

U.W. Marx is currently delivering quality construction, on time and on budget for Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. Beginning with the CMAA National award-winning Quad Dormitories Additions and Renovations project, U.W. Marx has completed a fast-tracked additions and renovation project at the Hamlin-Powers Dormitories and renovations to Clarkson's Educational Resources Center (ERC). The U.W. Marx team is currently constructing an expansion of the Moore House residence halls.

Projects have included new construction of the school's Natural Science Center, renovations/alterations to the Madison/Morris Music Division, renovation/restoration of the Auditorium at St. Joseph Hall and a Design-Build addition to the Campus Activities Center.

Recent projects have included Design-Build renovations of the Main Dining Hall & Servery, construction management of renovations to student housing in Alumni Hall, and beginning in fall of 2011, an addition and renovations to the Huether School of Business.

U.W. Marx provided Construction Management At-Risk services for this $56 million project at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. The project scope of work included renovation of the existing 101,000 s/f Everett Needham Case Library and the addition of the 54,000 s/f Geyer Center for Information Technology to accomodate the University's expanding archival and IT services. |
van den Berg Learning Center, SUNY New Paltz
REHABILITATION & RENOVATION / GENERAL CONTRACTING

U.W. Marx constructed Phases I & II of a major facility upgrade for the State University Construction Fund on the SUNY New Paltz campus. The multi-phased project successfully rehabilitated the entire historic van den Berg building to accommodate the School of Business and the Nursing Program. |

Marx has served as Design-Builder, construction manager and general contractor for the school since first constructing the Yulman Theater for the Performing Arts at Union in 1995.

U.W. Marx has completed two significant projects on the campus of Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The renovation of the All Campus Dining Center at Vassar College included demolition, interior renovations and installation of new electrical and mechanical equipment. This project highlighted U.W. Marx's attention to detail and exemplary craftsmanship. U.W. Marx also constructed the school's new Facilities Operations Center. |
