Ridge Hill Development, Yonkers, NY
The Ridge Hill project involves core and shell work for two steel frame structures comprising more than 194,000 sf of new construction
including an internal parking garage. The scope of work for the building envelopes consists of construction of masonry walls, CFMF walls
with cementitious siding and brick veneer, pre-cast brick veneer walls, aluminum window, curtain wall, EPDM, Built-up Modified Bituminous, and
Polycarbonate roofing, and MEP service distributions.
In order to provide a safe work site for all involved, U.W. Marx has entered into a ‘Comprehensive Safety and Health Partnering Agreement’
between OSHA, the NYS Department of Labor Division of Safety and Health, The Building and Construction Trades Council and The Building Contractors
Association of Westchester and Mid-Hudson, Inc.
According to project architect Studio 5 Partnership Architects/Planners, LLC, the Ridge Hill Project will include 1.3 million square feet
of national merchant retail with 7,000 parking spaces, 5,000 of which are located in parking garages spaced at intervals across the project.
The design is intended to promote a village-like atmosphere but with a contemporary feel through the use of a variety of materials to add texture
and liveliness to the streetscape and public areas.
