NEW CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATIONS AND ADDITIONS
Program & Construction Management, Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, NY
U.W. Marx has provided construction services to HVCC since 1984. In 2008, U.W. Marx
was selected to provide Program & Construction Management services for implementation of the school's $160 million 2009-2013 Master Facilities
Plan. The plan includes a new 750-car parking structure, and is expected to include the new Brahan Science Center, registered with the
US Green Building Council for minimum LEED(R) Silver certification.
New construction on the HVCC campus has included the Fitzgibbons Health Technologies Center,
Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, and the new Administration Building, pictured at far right.
Additions and renovations have been successfully completed on numerous campus buildings,
including the Siek Campus Center, Guenther Hall, Cogan Hall, Brahan Hall and Dwight Marvin Library.
The college has remained fully operational throughout all construction processes.
At left is the Guenther Enrollment Services Center. According to then-HVCC President John L. Buono, "by gutting a
1950's era administration building and transforming it into a contemporary
student-focused service center that is both functional and beautiful to look
at, U.W. Marx has earned our respect and admiration."
