Tapestry on the Hudson - The Community Builders, Inc.
Tapestry on the Hudson involves the rehabilitation of an historic seven-story brick warehouse building into 67 mixed-income family rental units in the City of Troy's burgeoning North End. Plans include a community room with full kitchen, on-site laundry, exercise facility, and offices for property management and maintenance personnel.
Also included in the $22.2 million project are restoration of the seawall, new raised outdoor recreational area overlooking the Hudson River, and numerous sustainable design and construction features, including a geothermal HVAC system and planned installation of photo-voltaic panels for electricity generation.
U.W. Marx is working closely with David A. Sadowsky, Architect, PC and The Community Builders, Inc. to re-purpose the Romanesque and Italianate style building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
