New High School, Beacon City School District

Spanning 33 acres, the new Beacon High School is two stories high, and has a total floor area of 200,000 SF. Some 700 computer hook-ups were integrated, providing "cutting edge" technology throughout the facility.

In addition to the building's more than 60 new classrooms are a 1,200-seat auditorium, a 25-meter six-lane pool, television & recording studios, a library/media center and state-of-the-art science labs.

The U.W. Marx team also constructed a community fitness trail surrounding the athletic fields. The new high school serves an estimated 1,200 students, and is considered a "model" for future educational buildings.
