  • Project Manager
    U.W. Marx is seeking experienced project managers for various upstate New York construction projects, including but not limited to, healthcare and educational facilities, historic renovation, sports complexes, commercial offices and research laboratories. Candidates should have good relevant experience in industrial/institutional construction, and be conversant in construction management software systems.   • Project Superintendent
    U.W. Marx is seeking candidates for Project Superintendent positions. The selected candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience on $5 million - $30 million commercial and institutional projects coordinating and supervising all phases of the construction process.
    Candidates need to understand contracts, plans, and specifications, and be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations. Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating also is important.
    The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems, is essential, as is an understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Good oral and written communication skills also are important, as are leadership skills.
    The Superintendent candidate must be able to establish a good working relationship with many people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and craft workers.
    This position will be headquartered in Troy, NY. Travel from the home office will be required.

  • Estimator
    U.W. Marx, Inc. is seeking experienced Estimators for their main office located in Troy, NY. Interested applicants must possess experience in estimating general construction projects. Knowledge of Timberline Precision Estimating software is desirable but not required.


  • Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer
    U.W. Marx is seeking Assistant Project Managers/Project Engineers to work in our commercial Construction Management & General Contracting divisions.
    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and twelve (12) months experience in construction administration work or two (2) years of experience in construction oversight is required. Experience with word processing, database, and scheduling programs is desirable.
    The selected individual will, in addition to other duties, perform reviews for compliance with plan and specification requirements; keep daily records of work performed; perform quantity calculations for accounting; initiate progress and final payments; and monitor project safety on the construction site. Additionally he/she will maintain manpower reports for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
