De Laet's Landing
The New Development at Rensselaer is all about re-establishing Rensselaer's historic connection to the Hudson River.
The vision proposes a dramatic re-connection of the city fabric of streets and blocks from Rensselaer's downtown, and the new Rensselaer Amtrak train station, into an authentic mixed use development, right on the edge of the Hudson River.

Pursuing LEED-Silver Certification
U.W. Marx is working closely with project designer Mosaic Associates of Troy on this $54 million project, registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and pursuing at least Silver-level certification under the USGBC's LEED ratings program.
U.W. Marx Chief Sustainability Officer Wayne Williams, LEED AP, is serving as LEED Manager on the project. Mr. Williams has worked with Hudson Valley Community College since 2008, helping launch the project as a showcase for sustainability for the school. The initial design charette indicated that the project has the potential to reach LEED-Gold Certification.
As Program and Construction Manager, U.W. Marx is overseeing a scope of work at the new interdisciplinary science facility that includes complete preconstruction and construction services for 100,000 s/f of new construction in addition to complete renovation of 60,000 s/f of existing space.
