U.W. Marx's Estimating Department utilizes one of the most powerful estimating systems available in the construction industry today. Our estimators have built an extensive cost database that has direct roots in the competitive construction bidding business. Our cost database is continually updated with the current costs of labor and building materials. Our estimating system leverages up-to-date construction methodologies that ultimately affect the "bottom-line" of a project.
U.W. Marx takes estimating one step further by means of cost modeling, a very powerful tool to quickly evaluate costs, and make comparisons between various building components and systems. The Estimating Department interfaces with the Owner and Architect to provide accurate cost information during construction planning and design development. With accurate knowledge of costs, the project can be guided through design without sacrificing scope, design, schedule or quality.
During the construction phase, the final accepted estimate provides the framework that our Project Managers will use to develop a cost control system to accurately track costs and keep projects within target budgets.
