U.W. Marx is seeking experienced project managers for various upstate New York construction projects, including but not limited to, healthcare and educational facilities, historic renovation, sports complexes, commercial offices and research laboratories.

Candidates should have good relevant experience in industrial/institutional construction, and be conversant in construction management software systems.

A minimum of 5-10 years experience is required with projects in the $5-$50 million range. Experience with both "Agency" and "at Risk" work is desirable. A degree is also a plus.

Candidates need to understand contracts, plans, and specifications, and be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations. Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating also is important.

The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems, is essential, as is an understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Good oral and written communication skills also are important, as are leadership skills.

The Superintendent candidate must be able to establish a good working relationship with many people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and craft workers.

This position will be headquartered in Troy, NY. Travel from the home office will be required.
