| Project Superintendent |
| U.W. Marx is seeking candidates for Project Superintendent positions. The selected candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience on $5 million - $30 million commercial and institutional projects coordinating and supervising all phases of the construction process.
Candidates need to understand contracts, plans, and specifications, and be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations. Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating also is important. The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems, is essential, as is an understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Good oral and written communication skills also are important, as are leadership skills. The Superintendent candidate must be able to establish a good working relationship with many people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and craft workers. | Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer |
| U.W. Marx is seeking Assistant Project Managers/Project Engineers to work in our commercial Construction Management & General Contracting divisions.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management and twelve (12) months experience in construction administration work or two (2) years of experience in construction oversight is required. Experience with word processing, database, and scheduling programs is desirable. The selected individual will, in addition to other duties, perform reviews for compliance with plan and specification requirements; keep daily records of work performed; perform quantity calculations for accounting; initiate progress and final payments; and monitor project safety on the construction site. Additionally he/she will maintain manpower reports for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Travel will be required. Salary is commensurate with experience. U.W.
